Ink Creak Subtly !

It was over ten years ago, maybe 2001. I was in Slovenia, visiting. For a few days I was hanging around in the capital very much like your average tourist, in and out of museums, going to the restaurants offered by tourist guide books seeing a little bit about the cities dynamic which was noting short of clockwork. Then I met with Barry; a friend of a friend who was kind enough to show me around as he was living there for a while now. After a long day around the cities hidden treasures we were back home to get ready for ‘a crazy night out’. So we got to the place he was telling me all about the whole day, a night club called ‘The Odyssey’ where hell lot of people crammed into such a small place who looked like having great fun.

First as Barry wanted to introduce me to the owner of the place. We went to the upstairs for the administrative office which was at the end of this corridor through a long path. As we walked; a tall man with a killer leather jacket walked by us, as I turned back after he passed I saw it was written ‘Spartacus’ at the back of his jacket which was pretty cool I though, of course in the mean time I was thinking why would such a dodgy looking man come out of the owner’s office. But the fact that this was a night club so I found it pretty self-explanatory.

So we went into the office, the guy was sitting next to a window from which you could see almost every corner of the place. As he heard us coming he the stood up to welcome us, there were lights shining behind him which was almost making it impossible to see his face. He leaned towards me to shake my hand and whispered ‘Mr Lyndon’ and I replied back with my name. Into the first few minutes us meeting he was telling me about his desires in life which was a little odd for me. But meeting an Irish guy who is running a night club in Slovenia was also weird so I did let this one slide. As we continued out our little chit-chat I for some reason asked him who the guy with leather jacket was that left his office a few minutes before we arrived. He answered with such caution and he presented him as a dear colleague of his who allowed him to run his premises without the fear of unwanted incidents happening. He was also telling us how he learned to stop worrying about trouble in business and ended up making a killing in this industry. As he seemed not interested in stopping from telling us about the glory in his current business, Barry asked to go downstairs to enjoy the music.

So we went downstairs, order ourselves some drinks and started to enjoy the music. Even though listening Metal music in such a venue was little different than usual, I still was enjoying myself. As I was standing quietly near the bar, I saw this petite looking girl from across the dancing floor who often dropping her eyes to the floor. So I though ‘Why not go and talk to her.’

I made myself to where she stands dancing in a really awkward way. When I got next to her she was laughing at me which seemed like I was doing alright so far. So we started to dancing and chatting a bit. So far Slovenia didn’t fail on presenting me weird situations. As right after she is telling me her name, her also informing me that her father was a Doctor and called her Lolita when she was young was another strange conversation I did involved in, but after a few too many Tequila Sunrises in which it seemed as they forgot to put oranges I was fine with that in fact I was loving it.

After we both kind of feeling pretty intimate with the help of the alcohol in our systems, she took my hand and started to walk out of the dancing floor. At the back of the venue there were a door, she pushed it into this pretty wide corridor. As we reached almost to the end of the corridor there were another door of which we walked in and shut door after us. We were in a small room with a couch and a few chairs which made it seemed like a place built for the very purpose of people making out of which I couldn’t possible complain. As I looked around the small room there were a few people chatting next to the wall where a huge painting were made which seems like scenes from World War II with bombs and everything. Having people around first made me a little nervous but as she wasn’t I was also OK with it. Then she started to kiss me and I kissed back..!
